Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Library Library Activities As the main library in the country, we have a wide range of activities as to promote reading habits among the public. Some of the library activities and its objectives are as follows: Gerakan Budaya Membaca (Reading Habit Campaign) To promote continuous reading habit among young people. Perkampungan Perpustakaan (End of the Year Gathering) To gather children and young people at one place and to present gifts as to honour their involvement in the library activities. To show up children talents and promote them to take part in various activities To introduce new members to the library and promote reading habits. Taman Bertuturan Bergerak (Mobile Story Telling) To promote reading habit among children. To teach and show children good manners and behaviour from the stories. To introduce new members to the library and promote reading habit. Peraduan Mari Bercerita (Story Telling Contest) To promote reading habit among the children and to build up their imagination. To teach children to be brave and self-confidence in facing the public.
